Me Back !!! Alas its really been a while...Not quite auspicious to have named my first post as "atlast"...Anyways thatz not a good enuf reason.....The real one being that i cudnt hit upon anything worth writing......
So whatz it now??? Its abt the so called institution of "marriage"....but why now???
becoz i have recently tied my knot....and thot it wud be worthwhile to share my experiences......
This word "marriage" has been a nightmare for me (and i guess many) quite sometime back.....
Life has been very simple and straight forward ever since i graduated out of college...I had my priorities set right and was quite happy with my professional and personal life......
Nothing lasts forever ..so was my happiness..... my parents started off with my matri search.....
Then started the hungama... i guess this is one of the toughest phases in onez life esp if you are in for an arranged one....(often wondered why i wasnt smart enuf to find one myself !!!!!)
Have always wondered why parents take so much of tension for such a simple thing....Very soon
i cud really relate to them and realised that the tension was slowly bothering me.....
With half a dozen of my friends settling down within a short span of 2 years, this was the buzz word anywhere u go....
Slowly i realised that there was no escapism from this....But i cud gain lot of mental strength after listening to stories from my married friends and i was geared up for the worst.....
"Things always happen for good"..... when i was in the peak of confusion abt my career and future ,mr x came into my life.... i was still apprehensive abt the whole thing ...but boldly took the next step in my life with a positive hope......(just a reminder.....things were arranged !!!)
Man proposes and god disposes.... ever since i got engaged , i always compared my fiance with my dream guy .... At times have been really disappointed to find that his qualities never matched with the ones that i was looking for....But i was really positive abt the whole thing....
Had a really long courtship period and like any other couple , we were also quite excited abt the new life....
But i always remembered the lessons from my good old friends..."initial phase is quite rosy...but nothing lasts forever!!!!"Never expect anything!!!!
Here am today...married for 3 odd months!!!! Quite early to conclude anything!!! isnt it???
But few lessons i have learnt in this short time....
I have always been a mama's girl and have managed to bug my mom ,with the simplest of problems... but theres someone beside me these days to reassure that "am there dear"....dont worry ur mom anymore..."
Quite often i have wrongly concluded that my hubby is not ambitious....very lately did i realise that the reason behind his success was his planning and patience...he practises more than wht he preaches.....
Last of all, he has accepted me the way i am..."considers me as his perfect match"... i have failed in this context.... will surely change myself.....
so thatz my story..... everything in life has a flipside...every package has pros and cons.....
so is this institution of marriage which is a mix of the sacrifices u make and the relationships you earn..... in this short span of time , i have really learnt a lot and my gut feeling,..."Go for it!!!"
Probably wait for the right time but definitely worth the effort !!!!!
